Nermin Nikšić, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDP BiH), reacted strongly to statements by former U.S. Ambassador Michael Murphy. Nikšić called Murphy's remarks very serious and noted that SDP BiH was not surprised by them.

Nikšić stated that Bakir Izetbegović, leader of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), allegedly supported dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). He revealed that high-ranking SDA members had previously warned SDP BiH, claiming Izetbegović kept a map of a divided BiH in his office.

Nikšić emphasized that Ambassador Murphy, a respected diplomat, reportedly confirmed these suspicions. Murphy stated Izetbegović pushed for BiH's breakup into three parts during constitutional reform talks.

Nikšić accused Izetbegović of trying to deflect blame. He said Izetbegović has for years accused SDP of betraying the state. Nikšić urged Izetbegović to explain his alleged actions concerning the country's division.

Nikšić concluded that SDP BiH defeated Izetbegović in past elections, preventing his alleged plans to divide the country. He vowed to defeat him again to protect BiH and its citizens, calling Izetbegović a "traitor in the making" who should remain retired.
