Bosniak Victim Associations Condemn European Actions, Allege 'Apartheid' in BiH
IllustrationTwo prominent Bosniak victim associations have issued a scathing condemnation of Europe and its representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, accusing them of complicity in policies that foster "open apartheid" and represent a "continuation of genocide."
The Association of Genocide Victims and Witnesses, alongside the Mothers of Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves Movement, specifically criticized Europe's vocal backing for what they termed the "forcible opening" of a border crossing in Bosanska Gradiška. They assert that this support aligns with a narrative that perpetuates discrimination against Bosniaks.
The groups further highlighted Europe's perceived silence regarding alleged "fascist outbursts" from Minister Amidžić, which were directed at Zijad Krnjić, a member of the Steering Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO). The associations questioned why such incidents appear to be considered acceptable by European officials.
Moreover, the victim groups pointed to what they view as hypocrisy, noting that European entities have for years reportedly denied companies and drivers from Bosnia and Herzegovina the right to conduct business, citing legal obstacles. They contrasted this long-standing stance with Europe's current enthusiasm for facilitating the new border crossing.
In their strongly worded statement, the associations implored Europe to seriously reflect on the fundamental principles upon which it purportedly operates, suggesting a profound betrayal of these ideals.
