London Mayor Sadiq Khan Visits Srebrenica Memorial

London Mayor Sadiq Khan visited the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potočari. He honored genocide victims and learned about the institution. Khan shared on Facebook that reports of the Srebrenica genocide have long been in his memory, but a personal visit brought unexpected pain. He recalled that in 1995, over 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were killed. More than 30,000 Bosniak women, children, and elderly were also forcibly displaced. Khan met with the Mothers of Srebrenica, families, and survivors. He highlighted their message: everyone must remember these events and learn from history.
