Former OSCE Chief Jonathan Moore Faces Criticism Over Republika Srpska Lobbying
Former OSCE Mission chief Jonathan Moore is now lobbying for Republika Srpska in Washington. This role caused strong reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Murat Tahirović heads the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide. He recalled visiting Moore's Sarajevo office ten years ago. Tahirović saw many awards from the SNSD party and the RS government there. Moore told him that diplomats must cooperate with everyone. Tahirović warned local officials at the time, but they ignored his warnings.
Tahirović said that diplomacy is driven by interests, not friendship. He called Moore's current lobbying work a criminal offense.
Official US documents show Moore works for the firm Lucas Compton LLC. The RS government is his listed foreign client. He earns 30,000 dollars a month to lobby the US Congress, the State Department, and the White House.
