Novi Pazar Celebrates United Islamic Community with Evening of Quran

An "Evening of Quran, Ilahije, and Unity" recently took place in Novi Pazar. The event was held on Gazi Isa-beg Square. The Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia organized it. This gathering celebrated the renewed unity of the Islamic Community in Sandžak and Serbia. It also marked the month of Prophet Muhammad’s birth.

Many performers took part. They included Ibrahim Bilčević, Mustafa Isaković, hafiz Egzon Ibrahimi, hafiz Ahmet Sarikaya, and hafiz Abdulkadir el-Kurdi. Attendees listened to Quran recitations and ilahije, which are religious songs. Messages of faith, community, and unity were shared.

Dr. Rešad ef. Plojović, the Deputy President of the Meshihat, began the program. He spoke about the long wait for unity. He said it took "eighteen years, ten months, and ten days" for this unity to return. He stressed the Quran's role as the foundation of togetherness. Plojović quoted the Quran, saying, "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and do not become divided." He said the Quran brought everyone together. He also highlighted that this unity was a moment eagerly awaited by Muslims and Bosniaks. He added it was made possible by God's grace and the hard work of people.

After Plojović's speech, a joint tekbir was recited. More Quran recitations and ilahije followed. Mr. Senad ef. Halitović spoke next. He stressed the importance of keeping this renewed unity. He said removing barriers among Muslims should lead to stronger community. He prayed that the removal of obstacles between Muslims in Sandžak and Serbia would be a good deed for all. He asked Allah to keep them united and strong, like true brothers.

Dr. Mevlud ef. Dudić, the President of the Meshihat and Sandžak Mufti, also addressed the crowd. He said the Quran should guide Muslims' lives. He urged everyone to improve themselves, care for each other, and raise generations who will build, not destroy. He said, "Only one who accepts the Quran as guidance will be saved."

The event on Gazi Isa-beg Square gathered many citizens. Through Quran readings, ilahije, and speeches, the importance of unity, togetherness, and preserving religious values was emphasized for the Muslim community.
