Balkan Instability: Activist Criticizes Propaganda on 'Islamic Extremism'

The Balkan region is already unstable and cannot afford more problems. American-Albanian activist Evi Kokalari shared her geopolitical analysis. She warned Israel and those connected to Donald Trump. Kokalari stated that Belgrade and Banja Luka use aggressive, false propaganda. She accused Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić of working with Russia. They create false stories about "Islamic extremism" in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kokalari highlighted that Republika Srpska (RS) tries to portray itself as Israel. However, she believes RS is more aligned with Palestine due to its origins and ties to Moscow. She urged Israel not to believe Dodik's lies comparing RS to Israel. Kokalari finds this comparison insulting. Israel occupies a small part of its historical land. RS was formed on land taken by war and genocide. She noted Dodik and Vučić's close work with Russia, which supported the Palestinian Liberation Army (PLA). Russian allies in the Balkans have historically opposed Israel.

Dodik's claims that Bosniaks are Muslim extremists are lies, similar to Russian propaganda. He spreads this invented story widely. Vučić funds new mosques in Bosnia. Then he points to them as proof of "Islamic extremism." Dodik even convinced Rudy Giuliani of these claims. Kokalari, a 9/11 survivor, tried to explain this to Giuliani, but he would not listen. She found his praise for the MEK group inconsistent. She suggested lobbying deals might explain such shifting views.

Kokalari mentioned Israel's Elbit company builds drone factories in Serbia. She hopes Israel will not become a tool for this propaganda. She concluded by reiterating the Balkans' existing instability and its inability to handle more.
