Election of New Grand Mufti Scheduled for Saturday in Sarajevo

The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina will elect its new Grand Mufti on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The session starts at 10:00 AM at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo.

Voting members will be separated from reporters. Journalists cannot enter the voting area. Edhem Bicakcic, president of the Sabor, will address reporters at 10:40 AM. Press statements will follow after officials confirm the results. The Media Center will distribute official reports, photos, and video recordings.
